Our Story

Located on West 10th Street in the heart of the West Village, WVKN is the only store in Manhattan to concentrate on materials and supplies that have been manufactured with respect for people, animals and the environment. Catering to knitting, crochet and needlepoint enthusiasts, the store offers classes, individual instruction and finishing services for completed projects. 

Our Team

Kiana Malekzadeh

Owner, expert knitter, crocheter, needlepointer and instructor. Kiana is a West Village resident with 15 years’ experience working and teaching classes at two New York City yarn stores. She is the author of two knitting pattern books, Nantucket Knits for Kids and Nantucket Knits for Women and has also created and sold 35 knitting patterns through Ravelry.com, Etsy.com and nantucketknits.com. 

Isabella Rigaudeau-Lopez

Isabella Rigaudeau Lopez (Expert knitter and Needlepointer) speaks French, Spanish, Italian and German fluently, which will be an asset when assisting tourists visiting the store. For the past two years she has worked at a local yarn store.
